We enjoyed an amazing meal at the Moulin Fou on our last night on island before returning home to Canada. My wife had the red snapper filet and I had the Dover sole filet followed with the tiramisu and a few complimentary shots of a very tasty rum liqueur. The french decor of the restaurant is very unique and we were pleased to have met the gracious and friendly owner M, Hebert. The meal and dessert presentations were of a very high standard with the flavours of each truly delicious. This is french fine dining but with a casual, unpretentious atmosphere. We wholeheartedly give this restaurant a “two thumbs up” review and you would be remiss to not try it while in the area.
The snapper is the one in the foreground showing both meals and also just the photo showing the single meal. Both very tasty…the descriptions on the menu do not do the meals justice.
Moulin Fou has been one of our faves for probably over twenty years.Always great foo, and great service. As for Winnie's chinese, we have done that a couple of times over the years and our last visit two years ago we decided never again. The asian food at Mr. Chows has been excellent.
We have never had a bad meal there. Often we have Olivier as a waiter but we have not been to the island in awhile. I love the metro subway decor but some of the red fabric has appeared faded from our first visit. Who cares?. As little ng as the food is good.
