Greetings! My wife and I will be returning to the island on Thursday after a 2 1/2 year absense.

We will be spending 2 nights in Philipsburg (Holland House), 7 nights in Oyster Pond (OBBR) and 4 nights in Grand Case (Airbnb). My wife's brother and siste-in-law will be joing us while we are at Oyster Bay, their first time to any Carribean destination.

We already have booked a couple of our favoirtes restaurants and a trip on the Tango to watch the Heinken Regatta from the water.

My questions are:
1) Any new interesting restaurants that you recomend?
2) When entertaining "first timers", in your opinion, what is your favorite can't miss activity?

Thanks, and I will try and post updates throught the next 2 weeks.

I think for first timers, a "can't miss" is at least one great sunset on Grand Case. Either get there early and find a perch for pre-dinner drinks, or make pre sunset dinner reservations at Ocean 82 or Calmos.
Have a breakfast or lunch
at L'Escale in which is a short drive from OBBR and has great food and views.

Roma restaurant in Maho.

An island tour and a few beach stops are always good.

Enjoy!

Mullet Bay is always another option if you are over this way.

Altro restaurant at Porto Cupecoy is a good option.

If they like good music, Rendez Vous for Sunday lunch/brunch. And be sure to make a reservation.

I second Huppel the Pub and not only on Monday, they also have a female singer on Thursday night and kaoroke on Friday nights and they’re all fun nights.

Same here. Every day you move eats up a good portion of the day.

Even though it sounds like a great deal of moving at least you get enjoy many facets of SXM.

When at OBBR go to BZH for crepes. Leave the property turn right the another right and past Mama Pizza and Les Balcones. Then left and you're there.

We really don’t have much of an option. We own at OBBR (27 years now) and have 1 week there. Flying on Wednesday is much more affordable. 4 hour time change this time of year, so need first two days to adjust at our age. Then 1 week at OBBR with family, then 4 nights in Grand Case with just the wife. We have done this before, it works well for us.
