Unfortunately, it is becoming all too common.

scuba....if you read the article...it's obvious a musical artist. what art shows end at 4:00 am? and what an art artist need ''extra" secuirty? sad. but i guess it was better than firing up a musical venue. the whole world is going crazy.

Geez - they hired off-duty police for security and were still shot???

Trinidad Mescach Emmanuel, aka Plumpy Boss was out on $350,000. bail.
What was he doing in SXM performing at the Moon Bar? The off duty officers should have not been hired for security.
The concert was a dangerous place to be and should have never been allowed!

offenses:
- Being a gang member, contrary to Section 5(1)(b) of the Anti-Gang Act 4 of 2021 as amended.
- Professing to be a gang member in order to intimidate persons, contrary to Section 5(1)(d)(ii) of the Anti-Gang Act 4 of 2021 as amended.
- Professing to be a gang member in order to promote a gang, contrary to Section 5(1)(d)(iii) of the Anti-Gang Act 4 of 2021 as amended.
Plumpy was arrested on Saturday 29th June, 2024 by officers attached to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
As part of a bail condition Plumpy must report to a police station once a week, the matter was adjourned to Friday 26th July 2024.

Not to sound like an old fart. But NOTHING good happens at that hour!! There's a reason Connecticut closes at 1am!! All bars/clubs have to be cleared out before 2am!!! I don't know if this would have helped, as another poster stated. This was a targeted!! These kind of things put a black eye on the island and tourism!!! Let's pray the victims survive this!!!

As in many Caribbean Islands, the mass of such violence is NOT directed at tourists.

Exactly. Out on bail but allowed to leave his country and perform in another? If you have to hire police security - something isn’t right!

The issue is innocent people could be hit by a stray bullet. That's a pretty BIG issue.

With all the recent shootings, violence and daredevil motorcycles racing through Maho I wonder when the local government will wake up and do something. Enough is enough.

No insurance , hence placed in coma and awaiting to be shipped out back to Trinidad , but money is the problem , prayers for his survival . His Mom is on island calling on Radio Talk shows and being very nasty with her comments.

Sorry, nasty comments against whom? It sounds like to me that her son should never have been on SXM to begin with.

In general but the she already lost two other Sons via shooting . Sa la vie her life .
