Donate to International Red Cross AND Specify "British Virgin Island Hurricane Relief 2017". If earmarked to a certain disaster they will allocate to that particular case. Other organizations as well. If in doubt, verify their rating with reputable rating companies such as Charity Navigator https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=toptenThis natural disaster bring out a lot of SCAMS using "sound alike" organizations. You want to help those in need, not crooks.

For those with ties to or wish to help Virgin Gorda there is a relief fund set up . Jeff and Kaci McNutt of Dive BVI are coordinating it. They are getting emergency supplies via San Juan by boat and St Croix. It is totally legit I am sure. https://www.youcaring.com/virgingordacommunity-940410
