We stayed at Coconut Bay Resort and Spa and it was lovely. It was all inclusive so that was even nicer. The food and drinks were great and staff very friendly. The taxi ride to the resort is only 5 minutes which was good. Upon arrival we were greated by a glass of champagne and a cold facecloth. Check in only took 10 minutes. We chartered a boat for the day from Chateau Mygo which was great. There were only 6 of us and we had the boat to ourselves to do what we want. The captain, George was very informative regarding the island and told us lots of places to go. We visited the Botanical Garden, which is beautiful. The Mineral Springs, sulphur Srings, drive thru Volcano and then one day wentt to the other side of the island to do some shopping in Castries in the morning then go to the beach on the caribbean side. We rented a taxi- St. Paul (retired policeman) He was very good and reasonable and took us where ever we wanted to go and showed us all different spots (his phone # is 455-3134) and his son Joseph is 720-2519. They only charged $120 for the whole day and split between 6 people that wasn;t bad.
The island is beautiful and lush, a rainforest. The beaches are not the best but the beauty in the island make up for it.
I will definitly go back and stay at the Coconut Bay Resort and Spa.
We flew into Hewanorra and the resort is the only one on this side of the island, that was the only drawback that you had to travel to the other side of the island for activities, but that was fine with us, We wanted a relaxing vacation!!!
