A quick trip report. Went to Eden Bay March of 2005 had such a great time that we decided to return in March 2006. Puerto Plata airport was the same both times. The ride from the airport has gotten worse. Road conditions are terrible(pot holes). When we arrived check-in was a snap. It consisted of drinking a glass of rum punch and Patricia walking us to our room. After settling in we headed for the beach bar where we met old friends and many of the same employees from last year. The staff at this resort are some of the best that we have encountered in our travels. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great vacation. There were plenty of lounge chairs, towels, shade if you needed it and just the right amount of activities to make things fun. The activities directors never forced you to participate. Their motto is "it's your vacation". The pools and hot tubs are very clean. The rooms are clean and many are in the process of being rehabed i.e. new paint and windows. I think the food was better this year than it was last year. This a resort that makes you feel like a king and queen.
