We'll be back after 5 years on 17.May on a Dreamyachts Catamaran.
So we need to think of provisioning. Last times we used riteway, but to my information, dreamyachts works with onemart, so it may be easier to use onemart..
Is it okay or shall we think of riteway?
best wishes from germany

In all our visits we have never used Onemart. We use Riteway, Steakation (high end butcher), French Deli (amazing croissants, breads, butters and yogurts (and wine!) and Caribbean Cellars. They all deliver to the boat.

May I ask how you chose Dream Yacht?

Ahoy Captain,

Hopefully this is helpful -

Provisioning -
I recommend using Riteways as your primary/only source. The more venders that you get involved – the more chances for delays and other issues.
Here is a short list of Food and Liquor Provisioning sources in the BVI –

https://www.frenchdelibvi.com/ - European Food & Wine

We booked Dream yacht charter in BVI four Times and everything was great. The catamarans were in good shape, good service and only few minor issues. We used riteway for provisioning too.

I will say that in our experience OneMart has always had the better produce.

I generally prefer Riteway's produce because it is larger; the produce in OneMart is fine, great selection and prices, but smaller. OneMart often has canned goods you can't find elsewhere. It has a lot of ethnic food, especially Asian. Each supermarket carries a British line of food. Riteway has better butter and milk, including the German Distinction brand of UHT.

Meat selection is not great in either. Steakation is better, but more expensive; they have 80% ground beef, whereas Riteway has only 75%. We like Seafood Kingdom for seafood. French Deli has terrific cheese and deli meats, as well as gourmet grocery items. Relish has things you can't find elsewhere. For example, I needed sea salt flakes to make focaccia, and neither supermarket had them.

We have always used Onemart and have been down there 7 times over the years. Great selection and they always have great prices.

Cruising the local waters here in SC and GA. Love the BVIs and miss the Tradewinds!

Not sure if the OP is planning to pre order provisions or shop in person. I prefer to shop in person (less chance of over buying and I like to pick my own produce). Riteway had better selection this time around.

Honestly, I just pick whichever store is closest to the base and go there. Buy basics, booze and 1-2 days of food and supplement as we go. This past week we were out of Hodges Creek. Landed in EIS, Taxi directly to RiteWay East End, taxi to base, off dock asap.

We will pre order most 'heavy' provisions and shop in person missing goods. We will also be out of hodges creek.

That’s exactly what I’ve done, since the online ordering has been available. It’s way easier to have cases of beer and gallons of water, etc..delivered, then send one or 2 crew to the shop for produce and other items while I do the boat checkout with the charter co. My wife likes to put her hand/eye on the more fresh things before buying - in reality though, the deliveries have been nearly 100% in their accuracy. I’ve used Riteway in the past, Mrs. Skytrucker says OneMart is equally good for in person shopping…

This year we’re in charge of our septuagenarian parents (both mine and in-laws😳) we might nearly order everything, just so we can focus on making their first charter trip as easy and awesome as possible.
Something I always tell myself when traveling in any mode is: “people live here” meaning, whatever I find I’ve forgotten, I can probably get, wherever the local people get it…if you’re missing something critical there’s places around the islands that you can get something to sub in for it. (The leverick store comes to mind as a fairly well-equipped mid-week reprovision)

There’s nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.
