The wind today is out of the SE and probably tomorrow which is bringing in sargassum to the west end of Simpson Bay. More so at the El Zafiro location some at BSV. Not affecting Maho Beach as per the SSBB camera. We have to go to the Maho Market soon and will take a look.

Seaweed is always much worse at the EL Z end. Anything going on there?

A few more pics for you. Nothing down towards Karakters.

If you are talking about the drop off into the sea I don't know because we don't go in pass our knees lol. But if you are talking about the drop to the beach at the concrete wall, it's still there. I'll take pictures tomorrow morning for you. I am curious about how much sargassum will accumulate over night.

Mia - Haven't been to Mullet yet but Maho Beach is clear so I would assume the Mullet is fine as they both face the west.

As with all the beaches in SXM lately, it all depends on the day. Orient for three weeks was good somedays, and horrible on others. Mullett, Simpson Bay, and Maho were also on and off, with mostly clear, but a quick wind change can bring the crap in at any given time. This pattern looks like it is here to stay for the immediate future. Miles and Miles of it offshore.
