LinkSeems to be a lot less places that are closed/etc in this one. Most of the choices I really don't have that big a problem with. Can't say I agree with Mario's as #2 best French cuisine though. I don't think the food there is particularly French at all. Anyway, I enjoy looking at it every year.

I don't see a category for "Best Car Rental". Why would that not be there?

Good question, Southshore. While they’ve mentioned just about every other possibility in SXM businesses, car rental agencies are noticeably absent.
Personally speaking, while I’m glad a few of my favorite places made it into top billing, I think ‘The Best of SXM’ has gotten to be a bit of a joke.
Respectfully,

I find most all these BEST OF could be open for debate. Like with ANY survey, it is a mixture of OPINIONS. Some you may agree with and some you may not. Throw in the advertising revenue some of the recognized establishments or services generate and it becomes even more open for debate.

Domino's wins the pizza one almost every year. Locals apparently like it.

Pat--did car rental agencies used to be on the list? I don't remember. Obviously, most locals don't use car rental agencies much, and I guess it's technically supposed to be primarily for local people? Don't know.
I still think it's interesting to read who the winners are.

Domino's does a bit delivery and takeout business on island. Locals are far more than likely to purchase from them rather from a more expensive restaurant that tourist would go to.

And Domino's is always contributing to the community. That buys a lot here.
