Looking for some info on grand cayman. We have never been to grand cayman and want to go Christmas week 2011. What is the weather like in December - will it be in the 80's
and is the water temp nice. Also looking for info on car rentals and a supermarket to shop at. Looking to stay in 7 mile beach area. Any info would be appreciated.

For all the weather stats about Grand Cayman (or any other destination for that matter) you could ever want go to: www.wunderground.com

Using the "Travel & Activities" dropdown link select "Travel Planner". Enter the airport code for Grand Cayman (GCM) and your planned dates of travel. You'll be directed to all sorts of weather data including a chart showing what the actual weather was on the island for every day during that period over the last 10 years. Study the material and you'll now more about Grand Cayman weather than most locals.

You might want to go to the main list of Traveltalk Forums and select the Cayman Island Forum for answers to your other questions (you've posted this question on the "General Caribbean Forum).

I'd recommend a condo in the West Bay area of Seven Mile Beach. Check out Discovery Point Club and also Silver Sands:
www.caymanvacations.com

For groceries, Foster's is very good. Here's its web site:

Car rentals: I book online with either Avis or Hertz and usually get a good rate.
