Dixie's is the local take out (or eat in) place to get fried chicken.

Coconut Junction, also on Virgin Gorda. It's directly across the street from Fischer's Cove. Food is great, and the price is right. Her menu changes daily. You can eat in or carry out.

There's a deli inside Buck's Market , right in the VGYH,with take out. Coconut Junction is a short walk south and another good option. Seldom mentioned here is Island Pot, a little further south. Maybe too far to walk for some but good food and very inexpensive esp. for a group. Bath and Turtle also has take out but service is a little "Island Time", better for "sit down and relax" dining. As far as Dixie's go, our only experience there left us feeling more tolerated than welcome. Chicken was OK.

We get johnnycake at Dixie's too. Always felt safe there, but we are not local.
M&M bakery is a medium sized production baker that is open from 8PM-11AM (sometimes 6PM). Good tarts and bread. As you head west past the yacht harbor, take a left at the NAPA store down the one way street.
LSL is a bakery and lunch takeout on the way to the Baths.
Bath and Turtle's local food sells out very early. Very good oxtail and goat.
Fat Virgin's, Mad Dog, Island Pot, Poncho's by Gun Creek...
Cheers, RickG
