Hi! Arriving from JFK to SJU after easter (award ticket) and are considering a reasonable/valuable priced and convenient way to get to Virgin Gorda. Is it really worth about $2000 for a direct r/t flight with Cape Air? Even if we have at least 3 to 4 hours in between I don’t want to lose that much money for a missed connection if delays occur. Or should we look for options via EIS? I guess Island Birds will be more expensive when only two people. I should mention that we first fly from Sweden to the US so it’s a pretty long and exhausting trip anyway.
Arr 12:22 in SJU. Dep on the way back is 6:30 pm. Thanks for input to help us decide.

Might consider overnight in SJU, but rather avoid that since we have an overnight in New York as well. Our accommodation reservation in VG also starts April 22.

Hi Maggy,

I would recommend reaching out directly to Tradewinds. They have been awesome to work with over the years, both for private charters and commercial flights both to EIS and Virgin Gorda.

Tradewinds might be your best bet. I would still consider flying into EIS and ferry over. Since you are already overnighting in NYC the trip is already broken up so I would probably skip staying in SJU.

Haven't got the Christmas lights up yet, but it's on the list! Kitchen has been gutted, some new gutters being installed and two new teak louvered doors are up. I'm the general contractor, so plenty of balls to keep in the air.

Here is a good article about the Tradewinds to VG operation -
