Our travel agent has always set up a taxi for us to stop at Grande Marche for groceries on the way to the hotel. Seems prices are now around $80 which is nuts. Has anyone had any trouble finding someone at the airport taxi stand willing to stop? I can see paying an extra $20 plus tip but not $50.

What hotel? At that price why not rent a car, then you can go to the hotel get in your room and then go get the supplies you need. If you want a taxi and stop ask Wilfred Brooks for what the price would be. To contact him, go to the sponsors page and scroll down.

The other option is to use shop n drop for you supplies. They will be delivered to your room before you get there.

We returned from 11 days in St Martin a week ago and used Wilfred Brooks several times. His prices were very reasonable, and on one of our outings to the butterfly farm he waited for us to go through and then took us on to Orient Beach. He is very reliable and a nice guy. Email him at guavaberry58@yahoo.com.
