We ate at Escape in April.

In speaking to the owners, I asked them to define their cuisine and they told me 'International' if that means anything to you. The menu had a touch of this and that........

My take was the atmosphere was classier by far than when FIG was there and the service was very good. The food was nice but perhaps a little over-priced for the size of the portions served, although the option of 'small plates' was very nice. One of the owners did mention they were still feeling their way and figuring it all out with possible changes in store depending on patron feedback.

If it has caught on I would definitely suggest reservations as it has a limited number of tables and the evening we were there it was definitely a step up from basic casual. Sadly, we had set out that evening planning on a Barcode dinner and weren't particularly 'dressed up'..... I really wanted to leave but the owners were so gracious we didn't have the heart to go. All was fine in the end but in the future we would certainly dress up a bit more than we did that night.

At the time we enjoyed it as something a little different but in retrospect, not so sure I'd go back. I'm sure others might have a different take, but truthfully, I enjoyed it more as FIG. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />
