Hello, I'm taking my family of 11 to St. Martin next February. We have kids aged 3 to 15. We generally stay in a Mexican All-Inclusive resort, but would like to stay on Orient Beach. We want to be as close to the beach as possible, as well as close to the beach restaurants.
My deceased husband and I stayed at Club Orient for many years, but that is not an option with the family.
Thank You for any info that you can provide!

Alamanda hotel is steps off the beach and a half block from the village restaurants.
Nice cafe on site and large pool with direct access to the beach free parking on site.

There are several hotels that are on, or very close, to the beach, although unfortunately, many of them don't have a view of the beach. Alamanda, as Bobcat suggested, does have a view of the beach IF you are on the second floor, as there is technically a wall between the beach and the hotel. Alamanda is pretty close to Orient Village, so would be a good choice in that respect.

How many rooms are you looking for? Does it have to be a hotel, per se, as there are many townhouses that are pretty close to (or in) Orient Village. Two townhouses again might be cheaper than several hotel rooms, as well as giving you more space to spread out. It might be more cost effective to rent a villa, not to mention more upscale! Most true villas wouldn't be really close to the beach though. Caribbean Princess is a townhouse complex right ON the beach, but it is a bit further down from Orient Village. To truly compare all the hotels on Orient, you might contact TTOL sponsor Jim Ruos, at Caribbean Islands Travel Service, as he handles all the hotels on Orient, as well as several of the other lodgings, and he can help you pick the best fit for your group. Enjoy!
