Is there an alternate way to hike into Happy Bay other than starting at Frier's Bay? We will be staying in Grand Case and I was wondering if there was a better way of hiking to the beach at Happy Bay.

From Grand Case you can go south on the main road until you get to Rue de Happy Bay. Take a right and the road will take you right there. Beware of the traffic. It can be dangerous if you are not careful. A safer alternate is to stay on the beach until you pass the cemetery, make a left and cut across the field to Rue de Happy Bay. It is the same distance and time but it is safer. Get a copy of the Saint-Martin/Sint Maarten map by Michal Kasprowski. It is about $15 and worth every penny. It shows many hiking trails on it. Dutch Delight convenience store across from the food court on the lower level of the airport has them.
