Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere. We've been hearing and reading about the fires burning at the landfill and the pictures we've seen have looked awful. Folks complaining about the smoke and odor traveling around the island and their eyes burning. We also saw an advisory posted about staying indoors with the air-conditioning on, especially for folks with respiratory problems. There is apparently also a petition going around regarding health concerns due to released chemicals and smoke in the air. Can anyone currently on island tell us how bad it is?

Thanks!

It's a terrible situation. Hoping it can be resolved soon. Had dinner at The Greenhouse and at Chesterfields this past week and didn't notice any smoke, no burning eyes or odor on the evenings we were there.

I just noticed the fires for the first time yesterday. Lots of smoke.
