I thought the fuel on the water is always measured in gallons?

Babble babble. Prices are quoted in gallons at most docks. You're probably gonna pay $4/gallon on the cheap side.

$3.25 a gallon when I filled up 7 hours ago in Red Hook but we don't need to talk about the price differences in the USVI versus the BVI.

We will be on a MarineMax 38 power cat in June and will be visiting St. John towards the end of our trip. Are you saying that we should fuel up in St. John? Anybody know how much cheaper gas is in the USVI?
Thank you!

St John not so much cheaper, but St.Thomas is WAY cheaper. If Red Hook is 3.25, Crown Bay will probably be in the $2.75 range. All the BVI ferries fuel at Crown Bay, seen them many times. If you are going to take on at least 50 gallons, especially on a power cat, it's worth the side trip.

We paid $3.40 per US Gal at The Delta Petroleum fuel dock in Road Harbor last week + a nice tip and half a case of Carib for letting us fuel up after quitting time.

Thanks for the tips for Crown Bay and Road Harbor fuel docks. Hodges Creek on Tortola is a lot more expensive for fuel but mainly have business from charter companies in marina.
