Any suggestions on recommending lower airfare either from
Philadelphia or surrounding airports to SXM.
Departing August 20 and returning Sept 3
Prices seem crazy this year.
Finding $567 out of Newark for economy, prefer 1st class,
but am looking a about $1000. per person.

No suggestion other than air seems to be higher than in the past. People in many areas would be very happy with a fare of $567, especially if that is non-stop.

Leaving out of Baltimore with connecting flight in Charlotte for $518 pp. Bought the tickets right after Christmas. We do have to leave at 5:15 am, but will get to SXM by 1:00 pm. We stay overnight at a park and fly so I don't have any parking to pay, but do have the $115 room cost. Much cheaper than parking for 3 weeks.

Today, round trip from EWR to SXM on your specific dates in Business class is $897/pp on United. The flights are non-stop both ways.

Recently booked JetBlue for November trip, $500

Higher than past trips , even with cheap oil

If you can, be flexible with your travel dates. There are deals to be had. This year we found a great last minute fare in April - $367 from EWR - and jumped on it. JFK has $395 fares almost every day in Sept. if you don't mind flying from NY. Philly is the most expensive of the 3 options.

Wow. Wish I could get some of those prices out of Indianapolis. They always seem to run between $650 and $900 the last couple of years.

We are leaving in 2 weeks and yesterday I got a Delta flight out of BWI for $439. The plane is pretty full as my wife and I could not sit together out of Atlanta to SXM. American was a little more. I did have to look hard for the flight.
