Has anyone vacationed in mid to late June on the island, and if so, what has the weather been like? I might try to do a spur of the moment week or so on the island if the stars align.

I'm there every year at that time. It is usually warm and sometimes hot. Steady rain is usually not the case but an occasional downpour can happen. In twenty years I've never had constantly bad weather during that time of year.

We will not be there this year, unfortunately, at that time, but we usually do go during that time period, as it is our anniversary. We have found the weather to be warm, but not nearly as humid as September/October and it is great because most all the restaurants/etc are open, but no traffic. Great times!

It is usually warm with occasional showers. We like the June time frame before hurricane threats, but we have had to shorten a visit once because of stormy weather coming in. We went last year on June 4th. Stayed two weeks and the weather was great. Never saw rain until the day we left and it only lasted five minutes. Thought we weren't going back this year, but got a great deal last month so we'll be back again this June. Hope you all have a great ime. We can't wait

this Travel Planner is useful for getting historical data for a location, for a specific time period...enter a location and start/end dates, and you'll get an idea of what the weather was like for the past few years i especially like using it when planning a trip to somewhere new Wunderground Travel Planner

We go in late June and love it. Our first trip was in February and the temps were such that we had to wear a light jacket at night in some places plus the water was cooler. But when we went in June we fell in love with everything. The water is warmer and crowds thinner. We did stay for the 4th of July one time and learned that Orient beach at that time was more full, so we plan on leaving before July if possible. The crowd changes as the 4th gets closer. As we aren't the party type it wasn't to our liking.
