We are in the process of booking a cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest on Tauck river cruise....using Bonnie Buchanan of course.

Thinking of flying into London for 2 days then on to Amsterdam to board the ship.

the cruise is 15 days....from Amsterdam to Budapest

Then we want to fly to paris for 2 days and then home

Has anyone here cruised on this Tauck cruiseline?

It appears to be high end....and offers some really wonderful excursions.

We have good friends who have done Tauck cruises and they rave about how good they are - especially the excursions. On their trips they always talk most about excursions that enabled them to feel like they were interacting with "real" people in the countries visited.

I have been doing quite a bit of research...and it does appear that though the Tauck cruises cost more.....they treat their patrons as royalty and the excursions are amazing.

I am willing to pay more .....

We never used Tauck, but they have a fabulous reputation. We have used Regent seven seas taking our children and grandchildren to celebrate our 50 th. It was top notch and would not hesitate to use them again. Crystal cruise line is also good. No matter who you use they are all top notch.

We booked on Ama Waterways this December for a Christmas Market Cruise up the Rhine. Departing Basel Switzerland and Ending in Amsterdam. Added a couple days on both sides to ease in and out of the trip.

When researching we had friends that told us Tauck did a wonderful job on their cruise. They had gone as part of a family trip. They are younger than my wife and I, and slipped in the comment while talking about their trip and our pending trip, "sure were a lot of old people onboard".

I am just not sure if that was a warning or saying we would fit in...

Plan to try to blog while underway.
