Another day another collection of words to share......

I didn't sleep very well last night and I'm thinking it was at least partially due to the heavy rains coming down much of the night. A couple times I woke up to the intense roar of the rain with no wind attached at all........different and at least none of it came in the open patio doors and windows. It's not raining now as we enjoy our morning coffee with the morning news but the skies sure are looking onerous. What to do, what to do? So far, only one cruise ship that we've seen go by....and there goes another one.

So it's 3:00 and we just came in from the pool. Today hasn't been what you'd call a typically beautiful and sunny Caribbean day but it actually was enjoyable. Overcast for sure, and with only a passing fifteen minute shower. Not too bad considering the forecast calls for 100% chance of showers all day. I'll take it!

The managers cocktail party was cancelled - again - but one of the guests decided to host his own event down at the pool bar and what a pleasant time it was. No weenies and watermelon, but lots of munchies and good company and two for one on most drinks. An evening better than most of the hotel parties so thank you, Mr.and Mrs. Booker, for putting it together and inviting us all.

Party time done we headed up to Starz for a light dinner and a little casino time. The Grill, which we thoroughly enjoyed in December, has reopened. Service was a little slow but pleasant and since we only wanted something light, it was perfect. I had an omelet and John had a pasta salad bowl and with drinks and service, our dinner was a whopping big $33.00. No complaints from the peanut gallery.

We finished off our evening with a $20.00 loss at the casino, which could have been worse. No complaints on another very nice island day.

Respectfully,

pat

Well, you had an omelet & I had an omelette. That's interesting. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

All kidding aside, see you in a couple of days...

Thanks for another update. Glad the weather was not a total washout. Hopefully it passes and you get back to some decent weather.

Enjoy!

Pat and RonDon,

That reminded me of W C Fields in the Bank Dick when he went back to a bar and asked the bartender if he spent $20 there last night. Bartender said yes.
And he responded, oh boy what a load that is off my mind, I thought I'd lost it.
