We are starting to make provisioning plans for our June trip. Has anyone stayed on a 38 power cat from MarineMax who can provide a few thoughts related to the quality of the water from the water maker and how long the refridgerator / freezer will keep meats? Do we need to buy a lot of gallon water and should we only buy meats for the first few days? Thank you!

The water maker may make decent water, but you never know what's lurking in the tanks. I would only use that water for showering and have plenty of gallons for drinking water. We always freeze them, then transfer to the cooler to help keep the "other" beverages colder.

These will be our third trip on MM 38pc. I agree with Tradewinds. We used gallon water for cooking, coffee, and refill for water bottle. The freezer and refrig are pull out drawers that work very well. We kept a gallon jug of water in the refrig for drinking....We will arrive on the 19th and heading to leverick.........

Take a look at a "zero water" filter. we used that on our boat in the Chesapeake.
Basically a Brita on steroids. Takes up zero room in packing since you can fill the pitcher with unmentionables and some-such.
