We'll be sailing this year in mid July. What restaurants will likely be closed at this time of year. Also, should we plan for many of the more popular anchorages to be very busy? Thanks

July is low season. I don't think much will be very busy.

We will be sailing July 14th - 25th. Most everything is open and the crowds are few. However, I understand the PR Navy will be out so a few of the popular places may have some party people filling up the spaces !!!

What occasion brings the PR navy out in mid-July? We're down 7/16----7/24 and I was assuming that with those dates crowds wouldn't be an issue anywhere.

The PR Navy usually has their "Christmas in July" party around the last week of July.

tradewinds said: The PR Navy usually has their "Christmas in July" party around the last week of July. So true. One time we stayed at Sandcastle and by day those boats have music cranked so loud trying to out do one another and night time too. I thought it just happened on Jost but we come down twice a year and typically I see around July 4th and there is a massive influx of PR Navy whether on Peter Island or BEYC. Literally.

My favorite sailing time. Have been there almost every July/August since 1981. HOT and great wind. AC helps. Everything will be open. Water temp mid to high 80s.
