Weather: It's been mostly cloudy since May 6th here at Orient but with plenty of sun breaking through to swim & tan. Some normal evening rains and a couple of am downpours...island needs rain. Some say it's windy, but I say it's a beautiful breeze...I did have to wear a sweater a couple of nights and that's a first. For the Ladies: It started to rain yesterday pm in Marigot so we ducked into the Lipstick store. There was a makeup artist from Sisley of Paris who offered to do my make-up during the storm. Why not???? Matt was a bit bored but I had a great time and left with a bag full of new products and a new look Oyster Pond: In honor of Norm we went to Dinghy Dock for Happy Hour. The Capt. Oliver Regatta is this weekend so there were plenty of sailors hanging out. We were starving and they do not serve until 6 pm so we walked over to Capt. Oliver's where the sign says that they serve "non-stop." Nope, dinner would not be available until 6:30 so we had more drinks at the Iguana Bar. We were seated at 6:30 and I asked if Phillipe was around...he would not be there until later. Long story short it took 75 minutes to get our food; that's a bit more than the usual island time. I had rack of lamb and Matt had a strip steak and they were not memorable. If we return for the regatta, I'll ask if Phillipe is around again because I think he would appreciate the feedback as he tries to build the new business.
