Hello, We haven't been to St. Maarten for a few years and I'm wondering if the Driftwood Bar is still at the end of the runway in Maho? I think I can see it on www.mahobeachcam.com - but I'm not sure. Any one have any info?

Hi, Teresa and yes, it's still there and still a fun place to do a little plane watching while enjoying some of the islands' best libations in a very relaxed atmosphere..... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

The Driftwood Bar makes the very best Pizza on the Island. We love their vegetarian pizza. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

That's good! Such a great little spot with a great vibe- and AMAZING rum punches. LOL
Badbenni - (I tried to send you a Private Message but it said you weren't accepting them) we LOVED their pizza but two years ago we ordered one and all three of us (my Mom was with us) were sick afterwards. Every restaurant has a bad or off day and things can happen....just wondering how long ago you had their pizza?

Sorry to hear that you got sick! We've been getting food from there for several years now and had their pizza last year. LOVE the tuna pizza! Sounds strange but it really was tasty! We are looking forward to making them one of our stops on our upcoming trip! And YES there is something about those rum punches. You only need one or perhaps to share one with a close friend!!

We stopped for a drink early Feb this yr. Seemed to us the Driftwod space was somehow larger, more overhead umbrella's, more tables, more people.

Don't know about bigger but there were more people this month. Probably some windfall from SSB&G. I think their pizzas are on of the best on island too.

They make their drinks from scratch (fresh fruit). Had many pizzas there. Never been sick.

This is awesome news everyone! Looking forward to enjoying their pizza again. Like I said, every food operation has an off day now and then.

Driftwood has been there for many years and is pretty good about keeping things clean and sanitary. We have eaten the pizza and ribs many times along with many drinks. Never had any problems or concerns. Nice people too!
