My personal thoughts - while I love the food at Luna Rosa, (what's not to love about it?) I think La Rosa Too, of the two, has a better atmosphere for such a special dinner and their food is also very good. But another possibility right there is Le Moulin Fou right there on the same block.
No secret - I think the most beautiful beach on the island is Mullet but for the whole package, you might want to take a look at and consider the beach and Restaurant at Anse Marcel. We love that place, for sure.
And lastly, serious and major congratulations on your milestone anniversary. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

We renewed our vows (30th) 3 years ago at the Royal Palm where the rocks jet out into the bay. It was sunset we had our sons, daughter in laws and good friends whom we met on SXM with us. The RP arranged for a minister and a champagne toast. We then had dinner at The Hideaway (LaVista) by the pool. It was a memory I will cherish forever.

We did our renewal vows for our 25th at Beachside Villas where we were all staying. No other beach on St. Maarten compares in our opinion. Sunset, very nice! Kids all had a part in the ceremony, including my boys walking me down the beach aisle! Best friend was the officiant with pre-selected vows. Neil did our reception dinner. Our niece and her hubby renewed their vows on the Celine Too with Neil using pre-arranged vows. Pick your favorite spot and make the plan! Congratulations!!

I would personally love to do it on BSV beach also, but that would only work if one was staying there, AND there is not an actual view of the sunset from there..

Old guy's Personal Responses: 1. I would skip wine and go right to strong hard liquor. Makes renewal remotely possible. 2. I prefer Julius LaRosa, since Arthur Godfrey dumped him when he had had enough. 3. Beach @ Iwo Jima, since it has elements of images that compare to our own. I apologize in advance for a feeble effort at good hearted humor.

Sometimes you forget them and have to renew them again! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />Sometimes you may even want to change them a bit to be hip with the times! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />I guess everyone has a different reason to profess their love to each other. We chose our 35th to renew our vows and it can be a special occasion. However, <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> I like to think we renew our vows every day!
