We're just back from 5 days on White Bay at Sandcastle followed by 5 on STJ. Our first stay on either.
White Bay Highlights:
20 steps from the beach at White Bay...all day, every day.
Self-Serve Caribs while they're 3 deep at the Soggy Dollar.
Clean, clean clean room with loads of space.
Tina, Clayvorn, Shaneek, Winsom, Rene, Blossom, Mic...no better staff anywhere.
Serenity from sunrise to noon and 4:00 till bedtime.
People watching from 12:00 to 4:00.
Oliver's cooking...best lamb ever.
Chicken Rotis and Flying Fish Sammiches for lunch at the SD.
Ivan's BBQ
Racquel - hardest workin girl on White Bay.
If you haven't been on White Bay without the day-tripper mobs, you can't really know how much a slice of heaven this place truely is.
Sandcastle is awesome. The service and hospitality were outstanding. Crowds...no problem since guests can grab their own beers and mark their tab. Whoever is tending bar will make your PK along with the next pour. Essentially no waiting regardless of the crowd.
We found the day-trippers pretty entertaining. We always bobbed around out in front of our chairs when another boat arrived so we could preserve a swimming area. No confrontations, we just ignored them and they kept moving.
Ivan's, Jewels and Seddy's were always no further than a cold Carib away and I spent some quality time at these fine establishments.
Bottom-line: We unplugged, went for hard-core R&R and we succeeded. We met some great folks staying at Sandcastle, too. There is no mystery why Sandcastle books solid evey year.
Another wonderful visit to the BVIs
