Is it just me or is the search function on the forums not working? I am getting unrelated results on my searches.

So my question is never having stayed on the French side what are the electrical receptacles in the rooms? (Le Beach specifically).

Cheers

Pretty much anywhere on the French side will have European plugs. I'm not sure what Le Beach is, haven't heard of it before, but probably was known as something else before?

Club Orient has 110 and 220 outlets. Never use a converter when we stay there.

France so 220-240v like this

[Linked Image]

NOT a converter but an adapter which will work with most US phones/laptops/tablets. It's all I needed in France (and cheap...like a couple of bucks or less)

Check YOUR charger to see if it is 110/120-220/240 compatible

Thanks,

Yes adapter is all we need, checked everything we are taking and all are 240v compliant.

Le Beach was formerly the Beach Plaza Hotel in Marigot.

Yup, I just figured that out when I saw the picture of the outside of the hotel.

To the OP: we use the connector shown by Boucharda. We plug a power strip into that and then can plug in 5 phones, laptops, etc.

Every place we have stayed has some sort of plug in adapter. If your place doesn't have one you can buy one for about a buck.

A power converter can be interpreted as two different things.

An adapter (shown) converts a US plug to a French plug and works with the French voltage. Pretty much everything made in this century with a power brick/cube of some sort is capable of working with a range of voltages, which is detailed on the fine print on the brick. What doesn't always work is hair dryers and other appliances which don't have a brick. My hairdryer has a manual switch to change between voltages.

A transformer (heavy and bulky) will change the French voltage to US voltage.

I bit off topic perhaps, but maybe helpful.

We travel with several smartphones and tablets. Rather than bring a handful off adapters and all the charging stuff, I bought a USB charging station. Most will work on 220, and you only need one adapter to plug in all your stuff.
