Our countdown is now down to 8 days before we hit paradise...but the return flight in April got me thinking. We have never gone through customs at FLL....but always have through either Miami or San Juan. I don't ever recall any comments about how good...or bad....customs is in FLL. How long should it take???? how busy is it??? how convenient is it???? etc. If anyone that has gone through FLL, recently or in the past, would care to comment, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We use this airport yearly for our trips to Miami area, easy in and out, small airport compared with Miami, I don't see your having any difficulties. Our experience only with TSA is good, quick.

Customs was terrible last time we came through . Nearly 2 hrs from plane to car. Last April. Good luck

A lot depends on what time you get to FLL. JetBlue and Spirit both hub from FLL and a lot of the South American and Central American flights get there at the same time. If you land at the same time as a lot of Spirit flights you may be in for a long wait.
