Taking the family on a charter arriving Friday afternoon. We have 1 night at Nanny Cay before getting on the boat. Looking for a good dinner spot after a long day of travel. Open to anywhere that is a relatively easy taxi ride. We are food nerds.

There is a restaurant right there, Peg Legs. Not a gourmet place however.

Lots of choices. Last time we ate at sugar mill. There is a restaurant in Nanny Cay. Peg legs. Service is usually slow. Often it is closed for special events. Captain mulligans sports bar at entrance to nanny Cay for burgers.. Sharkys on the way to roadtown has good pizza. We have picked up pizza on the way to nanny Cay. Many may more.

We have our boat in Nanny Cay so we often eat at Peg Legs. The food is quite good and you can't beat the setting with the marina on one side and the Drake Channel on the other. After a long day of travel I would skip the cab option.

If you have kids, I would add that there is a nice pool there, pretty close to Peg Legs, also a small bar between th epool & the restaurant.

I prefer Peg Legs over Mulligans. Every time we've been to Mulligans the burgers have been frozen hockey pucks. The beach bar at Nanny Cay has had free apps during happy hour on Fridays. Of course, the Gennaker is best breakfast/lunch in de island mon. Other options in a taxi after a day of travel? You've got more stamina than I do!

We love Peg Legs. Great place to relax and get on island time.
If you want to venture out on a "20 minute" cab ride, my top three recs (not in any order) Sugar Mill, Myett's, or Bananakeet. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />
One I haven't tried but comes highly recommended is Scaramouche.

"Peg Legs'" is, IMHO, surprisingly good and perfect for you and family..skip the cab and " Mulligan's"..their burgers are an insult to hockey pucks..if you must go to "Mulligan's" stick to the gut busting chili fries! And second "Gennakers" for breakfast..

Forget the cab ride and walk down to the far west end of the dock in Nanny Cay and have dinner at Peg Legs.....
Safe and enjoyable boating.

Mulligans can have a really good "hangover burger" but SERIOUS effort is required to get it to be cooked anywhere near decent. Linda prefers the "fish witch" and has never complained.
I have has to tell them that I will send it back, until they get it right too many times. but when they do, it is scrumptious. That said, Wonkey Dog steals my heart for the best burger (with a fried egg). local lore said they used to FLY their burger meat in on a HELO.
therefore...chill and do Peg Legs. not great, but EASY.

But check first that they are open. We have had poor luck, they were closed around 50% of the time for private functions.
