Can anyone give me a very recent review on this hotel? I am reading mixed reviews online. We are planning to surf at Josiah's Bay and would like to stay here next month. Thanks everyone!

I know I have been gone for a couple of years but...... The Turtle Restaurant, authentic Italian? Is this a new place?

Lambert has gone through so MANY transitions in the last few years.

Here's the bottom line: It's a great location for sheer beauty, and the rooms will have beds in them.
Beyond that, it will be a crapshoot...so make sure that you're getting a good price. Will the restaurant be open? Not sure. Will the power remain on? Maybe. Will the (very large and attractive) pool be swimmable? Maybe.

Lambert has been selling off its hotel accommodations as condos for a few years, so the 'mix' of occupants has changed. Some long-term visitors have found very reasonably priced homes there. And some have rented long term. That's not necessarily bad.

Just don't expect all of the services available that are advertised on the website.

And here's a heads-up: the cruise ship horde occasionally visits Lambert, and what can I say? Just leave when that happens!

Calita at Lambert (new restaurant in same place) is really good. In addition to authentic Italian, now serves Indian and Asian as there are 3 chefs. On Saturday night there is live music by Ruben and his Caribbean Combo - good for dancing and a variety of music geared to a 50ish crowd. Not blaring loud and they are good musicians. Some of the rooms have been redone so you would have to ask for them. Pool is good 95% of the time. Very different from even last year.

Stayed at Lambert Beach on our very first trip to the BVI in 2001. Had our first painkiller at the bar there, with a nice warm breeze and a spectacular view to welcome us. One of those moments of pure bliss in your life. As mentioned, has gone though a lot of changes over the years. The beach itself is one of my favorites.
