Bringing my phone to the island, (YES I know there are people who provide rental phones but I prefer mine). So here is my question(s): I'm on the french side and want to dial a number on that side say 590690536144, do i just put a "1" in front of it, or do i need the international number/prefix? Same scenario but now im dialing a dutch side number--721-544-5456, what numbers do i have to put before that number?? Lastly we meet someone on the island with their US phone...say 504 267-8989. What prefix do I need to call them? THANK you all in advance!!

Doesn't hurt to always put the + in front of a number when dialing. You should be able to long press your 0 key to insert the + or dial 011 ahead of the number.

To call Sint Maarten the Dutch side from the US, dial 1 721 and the seven digit number.
In the US it's 011 590 590 and the six digit phone number to call St. Martin (French Side)
On island best to use e-mail to make reservations rather than long distance calls.
