Is there public access at Dawn Beach? Can you access through Westin if not a guest. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about access to Dawn Beach through the Westin. At the other end, there is a public entrance path between Big Fish and Mr Busby's.
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

Norm wasn't there some problem with finding parking in that area in order to access that path?

Parking has been an issue at Busby entrance in recent years ....you may get access to park at OBR ....Busby is good for eating only .... Before making that trip I would check out the seaweed situation at Dawn beach prior ...

Thanks for the info. We are not necessarily staying for the day. We are staying in Simpson Bay, but wanted to walk Dawn Beach since this is our 1st trip back since our honeymoon in September 1985 and we stayed at Dawn Beach. No Westin or seaweed then... although we did get tropical storm "Gloria" at the end of our stay.

Plenty of parking at the Westin. Beach is public. Waves at the shore make if difficult to get to Busbys.

Yes, you can walk through the hotel and go out to the beach. Lots of parking in the hotel garage. Nice to stop and have a drink at the Westin first and then do your walk.
