Can anyone weigh in on the Ocean Club? Just had RCI trade into the OC. Thanks in advance

We've owned at OC for over 20 years and have never traded it. It's a small resort. The beach seems to come and go, just depends on the weather. I particularly like the ocean front and the poolside units. I don't particularly care for the newer units in "The Tower". The Green Monkey onsite cafe is very good and convenient. The location is great for the restaurants at Porto Cupecoy, Starzz Casino and Maho. Unless things have changed, there are no BBQs available for use. So if you want to grill, you'll need to purchase something. Hope this helps.

We visited friends staying in a one bedroom unit there last year and I thought the entire property was lovely. We didn't see the bedroom or bath but the porch looking out towards the pool was nice and the furnishings were very comfy.

One thing they mentioned was there were other units which weren't as nice in their opinion, and these quite possibly were the tower units mentioned by the previous poster.

This year we all went to the Friday might steak dinner at the Green Minkey, and felt it was a great meal for the money and a pleasant evening and environment all around. Its a pleasant breakfast stop, too.

If their experience is the norm, and I have every reason to believe it is, you will be happy there. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Units around the pool and the town houses by the water are fine. The tower,or AKA Waterview Apts, are awful.

I'm not certain, but I think the townhouses by the water are not part of the t/s pool. Agree with the other posters, the tower section, aka Waterview Apartments, as not nearly as good as the other units.

I can tell you at least one of the oceanfront units is t/s. We own a week in unit #3.

OK, thanks. I thought they were all privately owned. Good to know.

Thank you all very helpful. I don't know where we will be staying but I will report back on my opinion. We have owned at La Vista weeks 14-50 for 15 years but with Easter being so early we are in week 13 the first week so we needed to trade. I will send a report after we stay at the resort.
