I booked flights expecting that all of the rental listings indicated a good inventory. After getting several responses that they were booked (despite the online listing indicating otherwise), I may have to expand my search beyond the Mt. Vernon, Orient Bay area. Anyone have contacts or recommendations for this particular week (less than two weeks away!)

You might check the timeshare rental sites listed in the FAQ's. However, that's a Monday to a Monday, which basically doesn't happen for timeshares, unless you take one that starts on Sunday and just not arrive until the next day. Heineken Regatta ends on the 6th, so that week would normally have a very high booking rate on the Dutch side, anyway. Best wishes.

There is also some techno music festival in the island like the 9-13, sounds like it will be an insane week in general. OP, try Porto Cupecoy. Bet they have rentals. Though not cheap. But since last minute you could probably strike a deal. Another site is "live Maho". Google it

You could try monrevesxm.com. Awesome place, not on the water.

I actually think they are having concerts at several places on the island. Here is a link.

Have you checked any of the Orient Beach hotels
ie Alamanda, La Playa [was L'Hoste] Palm Court, Esmeralda, PLantation, Blue Beach etc?

Generally a room with some kitchen facilities [depends on the hote] some sort of breakfast and maybe chairs for free at a beach bar

Just checked Alamanda's site as an example for your dates, they have rooms

What about contacting Jim Ruis? for rental info

Just thoughts

Here are a couple of very inexpensive places that don't get much mention here:

Blue Beach Studios

Coralita

Good luck!

At one point it listed Loterie Farm and Sunset. I don't see it any longer!!!! All I was picturing is a music festival, regatta and tons of people at the end of the runway!!! Don't think it would be pretty!!

I used Airbnb for my upcoming trip. I just checked for your dates and there appear to be options at every price level.

I didn't see Sunset on the list either; however, could the "Jungle location" referred to be Lotierie?

Sorry that we seem to have gotten offtrack with this thread!! Since you were looking for Orient to begin with, did you check with TTOL sponsor Jim Ruos, at Caribbean Islands Travel Service?? Perhaps he can find you something!

Daily Herald p 10 on 2/1/2016...first int'l electronic music festival will be held at selected venues from 3/9 -14 (on french side)...organized by Julien Arbia who is expecting to attract 2000 people (I saved the article because I know Julien personally) and it says BBC world will be reporting on the event for its arts program

Thanks all -
Thanks, much -
One of the listings on TripAdvisor came through at Idolem off of Orient Bay. I should have thought to put it out to the TTOL listing first!
