Would anyone know if any of the jewelry stores carry Pandora charms? If so, how about a special SXM charm?

Thank you!

There is an actual Pandora store on Front Street in Philipsburg. There is a suitcase charm with St. Maarten engraved on the bottom of it.

Thank you!!!!

There's a fun one that I got last year, a dangling charm - looks like a passport with a plane on it. On the back it's stamped St Maarten.
I usually get one every year, prices are about the same as at home.

As an aside I think the new Alex & Ani store on front street (around #74) has some cool charms for St martin.

I saw that store when we were there in November but din't stop in. I already have the St, Maarten charm (my daughter-in-law got it for me in NJ). Do they have other SXM charms besides that one, and are they authentic Alex & Ani charms? I'm fine with mixing, but just wondered if they have something that we can't get in the States.

The Alex and Ani bracelets are super cute! We picked up the SXM one in January.

They have many styles to choose from. Only recall the one SXM design but there were may "oceanic" charms - shells, starfish and the like!

I just went to Splash Jewelers and they told me that there is no SXM charm. However, they would have any charm engraved for $30.00 extra. Is that correct? Is there something different at the Pandora store in Phillipsburg?

there is most definitely an official Alex & Ani St. Maarten charm, which you can see (and order) from their website. I can't say about Pandora as I don't collect those charms.

I believe she is referring to Pandora....as is the title of this thread.
Not the Alex & Ani stuff.

Wife got one two years ago. Three sided and each side had SXM on it in raised letters for her Pandora bracelet. Bought it in St Maarten.

Did she buy it in the Pandora store on Front Street? It seems that not all authorized Pandora dealers have the SXM charms.

She bought it at a jewelry/alcohol shop in Maho. Not a Pandora but looks like one with same finish and fits the Pandora bracelet.

Thanks. I have seen different charms that will fit the Pandora bracelet which is nice. Just curious if Pandora really has a special SXM charm. Most people seem to have bought something similar to your wife's purchase.

She also has one that is in a circular design with St Maarten spelled out around the charm. From a Maho store also.

Is it a Pandora brand charm?

No. Neither ones are but you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference as they look the same quality, fit the Pandora bracelet and mix right in with the other Pandora charms she has.

whammy--to be clear, is that an actual Pandora charm, as others have been talking about other charms that perhaps fit a Pandora bracelet.

Carol, it's an actual Pandora charm, bought it at the jewelry store in the airport. (I also saw it at home, but obviously no St Maarten engraving on the back, so it's available to add your own!) The true Pandoras have to be screwed onto the bracelet, the "ones that will fit" just slide on.

The ones bought in Maho that are not Pandora's had to be screwed in also.

Interesting! The jewelry store down (or would it be up?) by the pharmacy?

OK, thanks. I don't collect them myself, but just trying to get solid info for those that are interested only in true Pandora charms.

Is this the charm you are referring to? It is called adventure Awaits on Pandora's website. I'd guess that the SXM on the back is an after market engraving. Aside from this one, there is no official SXM charm on their website.

After I posted the original question, I found the St Maarten Pandoa FB page and asked the question there. The response from the Pandora store is that they have several Sxm charms. I plan to go there next week.

That's the one! As I said, it's available in the States too without anything on the back, so you can pick your own destination if you'd like! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

Does anyone know if it comes in gold? My bracelet is mostly pinks, gold, and dangling charms with hearts, diamonds.

I went to the Pandora store on Front Street today. They have several StMaarten charms. There is a glass charm with St Maarten written on it. It comes in red or blue glass. The writing is in white or gold or black. I purchased two. They are beautiful! They also have dangle charms one with the Sxm map and another with an iguana.

I was also told by the Pandora rep that Splash Jewelers is no longer carrying Pandora. So, not only did tthe man at Splah misinform me by saying there were no Sxm Pandora charms, the ones that I was shown were probably not real Pandora charms. Needless to say, I will be shopping at stores other than Splash Jewelers.

So, are the ones you saw at the Pandora store on Front St actual Pandora made charms? I'd be surprised if they were selling knock offs.

Are they only available at the Pandora store in St. Maarten? I don't see them on the Pandora website?

You can ask about availability other than at the Front Street store, on the "Pandora St Maarten" Facebook page.
