Hey,
does anybody know how much the fees are if I come with 8 people on a 40ft Catamaran? And: Can I pay with Credit card?
Thank you!

Is the boat private, commercial, bareboat charter, etc? Is it a day trip or are you staying for a month? Are you visiting national parks? Are you clearing in on a Sunday?

There are a lot of variables to determine the fees and I've brought up a few that came to mind. There are probably others.

I was charged around 540.00 several years ago to bring a French flagged vessel into the BVI from SXM even though the boat was being moved to Sunsails fleet. The charges very by phase of the moon and who you talk with.

Allright, thank you. We are on a chartered boat from St. Maarten, with our own skipper. 8 people. I don't know the flag of the boat yet.
We'll stay for around 10 days in the BVI. Any knowledge if Creditcards are accepted?

Hello Christianb, I've been clearing in and out of the BVI from Gun Creek since they've opened up a couple of years ago. They are friendly, fast and the only negative thing I can think of is that they still don't have a credit card machine so you have to pay cash.
I don't know what GeorgeC1 was charged for, I only pay a couple of dollars there when clearing in and even my annual "temporary import duty" for the boat (which I need when I store the boat ashore for the hurricane season) is under $200.

Could be that the "import duty" is higher for boats being brought in for the charter fleet than for private yachts.
