I haven't seen photos of the new construction on Orient Beach in relation to the shore and beach. My impression is that the beach is much wider than before the new construction, which would be a huge improvement in my opinion. Is this true?
Separately, I put together a stairway made of cement blocks last September connecting the beach north of Pedro's with Pedro's. Is it still there today? Thank you in advance for any information.

On island now-In my opinion, the beach is considerably wider than the images showed during construction. The bricks are still there and getting lots of use! Thank you for placing them there!

Thanks for the photo. This is a big improvement. The thing that marred the beach for me in the past was that the old construction crowded out the beach making it, depending on the season, difficult to stroll the beach.

Jim.....don't forget what constitutes a wider beach. It's not the placement of the buildings...it's mother nature!!!! The beach will be wider one day...and less wide the next. She is in FULL CONTROl.....a picture taken today, may not necessarilly constitue what it will look like in a few days. I have seen many beaches come and go and come back...all within a few days of each other!!!!!

On Orient now: the resto's that are putting out chairs can fit 3 rows with ease We've been sitting in front of will be Brothers, yellow chairs - Monik [sp] owner is working on his space and Ruban is working the chairs - 2nd north of Pedro's Pedro's is 'poaching" the space in front of the old Cheryl's and putting their chairs in front Note - the old Cheryl's was apparently being rented from someone who had a resto - name escapes me - leanas maybe? Regardles that person is to be the new tenant - 1st north of Pedro's as no more sub leases allowed [for now says me the cynic, todays manager is tomorrow's leasee in all but name!] Had a great moijto today from Dwight the Moijto guy behind Brothers? And as noted the block stairs are still there - thanks J&B
