This is bad news for anyone staying at Sonesta. Restaurant has reopened and the problems have obviously not been rectified. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

No idea personally what the situation is, just passing along what was reported.

Huhm, I'm not sure that's what the story was saying. The team shackled an employee?? What?

Unless someone went off the deep end with threats, an immigration violation or something similar, WHY would a health inspection warrant that kind of containment?

The other story said there were no immigration or food service worker certification violations found. Very weird that this would happen.

The article refers to "raids" and I thought they were supposed to be inspections. The word "raids" is definitely more hostile than "inspection."

The article on ?Thursday? said the Point would not be open before Monday, and it was reopened last night. Obviously not enough time to rectify problems.

I think the word "raids" came from Sonesta complainants.

Seems like there was a pattern of one "inspection" a week on a Thursday, resulting in the minimum of a weekend closure. We never read of anybody passing either.

But you're assuming that the original statement by the health inspector was correct. I got the impression that was one of the other issues, as to why the inspections were halted, the statements were being made that were incorrect.
