Welp, I've gone and done it. I've booked a charter for Easter week <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />
I have some concerns about the end of the charter. As it's currently scheduled, our charter ends on Easter Sunday. Due to the holiday, will we have any difficulty getting from the Voyage base to EIS? Will the airport still be at full function? Are there any other difficulties that some have experienced on that holiday?
We're also planning to be in the JVD/CGB area on Good Friday. Do many places typically close? Where is a good location for that day?
Thanks in advance for any advice or tips. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Cheers.gif" alt="" />

You will have no trouble arranging a taxi to EIS, just ask your charter company to have one waiting at a certain time (Book in advance!) Almost ALL restaurants will be open, I would not worry about that. Last year, in Sopers Hole, at the supermarket, I believe they were still selling alcohol to tourists, just not to the locals. All in all, it is not too disruptive.. Enjoy your trip!

I've been at places on JVD and Virgin Gorda that seem to ignore the Good Friday rule. We could still order drinks at the bar with no questions asked.

Was at White Bay last year for Good Friday and they were not serving alcohol there at the Soggy Dollar, did not try any of the other places. Actually thought it was neat that Good Friday was respected

Norman Island - Pirates and the Willy T were open and serving when we arrived on a Good Friday a couple of years ago. Riteway was pretty crazy Thursday night with lots of locals stocking up for the weekend. But very well stocked even by 8pm.
JPH I spent my money on booze, broads, and boats...the rest I wasted.

Easter Sunday we've seen no alcohol sales until noon - obviously not a big problem unless you are at the supermarket stocking up. Otherwise things seemed to function normally.
I would think the Easter Monday would be a tougher day to travel.

Well, I'm not saying you'll actually have any problem travelling. Just that it seemed that a lot more places were closed on the Easter Mondays than Sundays when we've been there for both. It's a few years since I was there for one, but it seemed like in Roadtown you could lay down in the street that Monday and not have much of a problem. Kind of a ghost town.

Glad to hear that we should be able to provision on Tortola on Sunday if we go that route. Waiting to hear back from the furniture lady if we are meeting on Monday in STT. If yes, we will probably provision in STT and go straight to Jost. Not long now. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" />

Years ago, my buddy and I pulled into Key West at about 11:15 on a Sunday morning. First bar we headed to (Willy T's) politely informed us that the blue laws prohibited alcohol sales before noon on Sundays. So, we sat, sipped coffee, and, at exactly 12:00PM, requested two shots of Sambuca to kick off the day.
If you wanna see a repeat of that adventure, look for me at 5:59 next Friday at the Elm.

We had to wait until 6PM on our first Good Friday in Tortola, learned from that
