We're spending a couple of days on St Thomas before heading out for our charter. On our arrival day, we can either cab from Red Hook back to CA and take the fast ferry to Road Town or take the Red Hook ferry to West End, then cab to Road Town. Price and times look about the same. Any pros/cons from frequent travelers?

I would go RH to WE and have AC's Taxi meet you at WE. AC is a sponsor here.

I dunno, I'd vote for going to CA if your final destination is RT. There's more ferry choices in CA if one craps out. Plus you can catch the RTFF, if the time is right.

Looks like the fast ferry from CA is at noon, with other options at 12:15/45, 1:30 & 2:30. So you're right YachtReprise, more early afternoon options at CA if the schedule is off. Saturday travel in high season I just thought RH might be less crowded and crazy.

Red hook is a more pleasant place to leave from.
