Orient Beach today... Club O end. Very narrow from Club O property line near Pedros, only one row of chairs until after Perch, but they have put two rows of chairs up on top of the bank. From Perch down towards Papagayo, one row for about 2/3 of beach then suddenly widens out to 3/4 rows. They also have a row or two of chairs on Club O property behind the fence/shrubs, which they were renting out to non guests. The unpaved part of the road going to Club O is FULL of potholes. Hope they level it off soon.

Thanks for the report. They seriously need to do something with that road, as it has been in horrible shape for several months now!

Yes I agree, but at least it is dry right now. In November it was deep mud and we had to drive through Orient village or risk getting stuck!!

Glad to hear you got to the beach today. It seems that things have not changed much for the better since November. Hope that the beach will come back to that area soon so things can return to normal. There has been problems with that road for years. I think there is a discrepancy with ownership and everyone is refusing to fix that portion of the road.

Thanks for the update - we were also there in November - rained almost every night, overnight, so the road never really dried out. Regarding the extra rows of chairs - there is still sand there and they are still the same distance to the water, with the narrow beach. Enjoy your vacation. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

How is the Club O beach doing just north of the "seawall" and Papagayo? After the completion of the "seawall" there was a lot of erosion (some say, because of the seawall) in front of the two Chalets that are right next to Papagayo.
