Saw this alert on our news station this a.m. Don't know if any cases have been reported on SXM, but the alert does cover some of the Caribbean. Best to be informed to take extra precautions to prevent bites if you are pregnant. http://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda...-pregnant-women

Several suspicious cases reported a few days ago.
Zika is transmitted by Tiger Mosquitoes, so normal precautions are recommended.

Where has it shown up in the Caribbean? I did see Puerto Rico on the list.

The French islands are usually better at testing and informing about the various viruses being found. INVS is reporting 1 confirmed and 3 suspected cases in St Martin and 3 suspected cases on St Barth.

There is an article Conte Nast Traveler posted online today with links. Though the article has a lot of the same information there are links to other sites. Click on the words "emerging infectious disease" for reports and a map from ECDC. http://www.cntraveler.com/stories/2016-0...=ODQxNzA3MzgzS0
