We ate there last night. It was karaoke night. We lucked out as all singers were good. The food was also excellent. While the menu has not changed in many many years, everything was superb. We actually joked with the staff about this. We had a couple of appetizers once which was conch fritters. Then it was a medley, fish, chicken steak etc. All had happy plates. Chocolate lava cake was a hit but I had key lime pie and was not thrilled. Just not my taste. The hideaway is up the road from buon appetite behind Simpson bay resort It us outside dining by their pool but under cover and if you are lucky you may catch a beautiful lit ship on its way out.

Glad you enjoyed it. I have certainly always enjoyed it there and the view, day or night, is lovely!

By chance was Peter, the owner, one of the karaoke singers? He has a lovely singing voice.

Usually one of the more reliable restaurants. Not gourmet but usually very good and in a nice setting.
I thought they had done away with Karaoke but I guess not.
Did you happen to notice if their wine list was up to date and the wines stocked??

We stay at LaVista and love having breakfast and lunch at the Hideaway. Both are very reasonably priced and the food is great.

We don't stay there, but enjoy making the trek for breakfast. It is a wonderful view, and the Spanish omelette is delish. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

Not sure about Peter...the two singers I spoke of were guests. We did not order a bottle of wine, so unsure of list
