We're going to be coming through on our boat during February, and I was curious about provisioning. I see there is a Cost-U-Less. Does it sell beer and liquor? I didn't see any on their local website. What are the prices for a case of Presidente or Carib on-island? We're debating going back to St. Thomas for a provisioning run, or taking care of it during our Sint Maarten visit.

We've been gunshy about island liquor prices since getting gouged in the Bahamas and Turks last season.

Definitely Cost U Less sells beer and liquor, although the Cash and Carry (which accepts credit cards <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />), has better prices on liquor in most cases. There are also other great supermarkets on SXM, like Super U on the French side and Grand Marche on the Dutch side. Certainly no need at all to go to STT to provision from SXM.

My nephew is a chef on a charter yacht that cruises out of SXM for many charters. He has no problem provisioning out of SXM. He even likes some of the seafood at Market Garden. There is a provisioning company in the Palapa Plaza in Simpson Bay that seems to do a good business. Good cigar and liquor prices.
