To the left of le galeon is Brasserie de la Gare. We didn't eat there but it looks inviting. I think its new.also beside le France is Viet Thai food. We ate at le France. Hubby had duck shepherds pie & I had grouper filet with lemon coconut sauce. Both excellent. Also a salad with crispy goat cheese & lobster bisque. Also excellent. Parking well lit. Gendarme walk through. Lovely evening.

Good idea to let ESK know - he is on the island and can update his site. He checks in from time to time.

I can recommend Café de Paris, at midday they have an excellent Plat du Jour, well priced.

We wanted to lunch at La Belle Epoch in December an found it closed so defaulted to Cafe de Paris. It was a very pleasant surprise.

We've heard good things from other folks, and Chantel at Sunset Cafe has been bugging us to stop by for years (she and Alex own both Sunset and Paris).

We ate dinner there once and it was great. I said to hubby, "this accara (sp?) is just like GCBC Sunset Cafe." Then I spotted Chantel. Can't wait to return---especially for lunch.
