Last year when we visited St Martin we spend quite a bit of time trying the restaurants in Cul De Sac. Here is where we went and what we thought:

Jam Rock: Parking is across the road. Very short walk to the restaurant. The atmosphere was fun. The wait staff was very friendly The Owners work the restaurant. The Husbands catches fresh fish daily. The wife is the Chef that prepares it. The food was excellent. The prices are in the midrange. We will definitely visit this place again.

Pancho Villa: Best parking is around back. Very short walk down the sidewalk. We had a great meal. This was probably our favorite restaurant we visited last year. Patrick the Owner is the absolute best. He has a great sense of humor. The atmosphere was always fun. We really enjoyed our time there. The food was also excellent. The Sangria (by the pitcher) was even better. The prices were good. Pancho Villa is definitely on our must go to list. In fact we even visted Patrick a second time for another dinner a couple day later.

13 Travaux of Hercules. The atmosphere was very quiet. We were the only people there when we ate dinner that evening. Parking is around back. The walk to the restaurant was also very short. Hercules the Owner is a very fun and friendly person with a great attitude. The food was good and presentation was also good. With that said it was not our favorite restaurant. I really don’t have anything bad to say it just didn’t “wow” me. We probably won’t go back with so many other wonderful choices. Although the homemade rum at end of meal was very good.

Pizza Villa: The parking is very close. Right out front. Be careful pulling out of the driveway in front. Your bumper might rub. We have visited here many times over the last few years. The meals are always excellent. The wait staff is always friendly. The prices are good. This place has always be our “go to” stop when we need a meal. Most of the tables are in on open air setting. I usually get the pizza but my wife get always tries something new and she has never been disappointed. If you do order the pizza plan on getting a to go box because it has always been more food than I need in one meal.

Boulagerie TJ Artisanale: This a small bakery on the road to Mot Vernon. They did not many choices but what they had was very good. They probably had 6 or 7 things to choose room. We will go back for more breakfast pastries.

Hope this helps. Although if I could only choose one place to go in Cul De Sac it would be Pancho Villa. Enjoy <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Patrick sold Pancho Villa to Joey Shulman last June. The food is now phenomenal and Joey is an excellent host -- even more fun than Patrick. Check it out.

We love Patrick too and you can now find him at Pat's Roadhouse right in front of the Boathouse in Simpson Bay. He has a great little place serving Tapas and is there most hours of the day and evening. Good stop-off on the way too/from the airport especially if you don't like all the craziness at Sunset Beach Bar.

Is Al Dente considered to be in Cul de Sac? If not, it is close and we had a wonderful Italian meal there in Nov.

Dang I can't believe Patrick is gone. We were so looking forward to seeing him again at Pancho Villa. We will have to check out the new Owner. He has some big shoes to fill.
