We are making our 4th trip down May 18th. We have always taken the ferry from St. Thomas. I don't love the ferry ride. What airlines fly from St. Thomas to Beef Island? Would a flight from Puerto Rico be an option? How much can I expect to pay person.

Prices vary wildly, depending on demand. Cape Air has flights three days/week from STT to EIS. Last minute tickets run about $100/each, but advance purchase can be much more. Another good option is chartering a plane, which is cost effective if you have four or more people.
From San Juan, Seaborne and Cape Air are two popular options, and they codeshare with several US airlines. Cape Air has commuter books, which could save you money.

We have been using AA for our last few flights. They have been codesharing w Seaborne, so we go through SJU, then Seaborne to EIS.

How do y'all like Seaborne? Last time I was there was several years ago and used American Eagle, which doesn't fly there anymore.

No issues with Seaborne, and the planes are bigger than Cape Air, so they can take bigger bags.

We have had no problems w Seaborne codesharing w AA. Others may have different opinions, but I have rolled the dice before and booked separate flights (DEN-SJU then SJU -EIS) and luckily their were no issues. But my days of gambling are mostly past..... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />

No problems with the AA codeshare -- we're flying directly to Beef for our trip in May - got a great price too!

We just flew Seaborne in December (codeshare with JetBlue). It was great. After AA stopped flying there we were using Cape Air -- a couple of bad experiences and opted for Seaborne this time. I wouldn't use Cape Air again after Seaborne.

We're making our first trip to BVI in 30 days... any issues to be concerned about with jetBlue out of NYC connecting in SJ to Beef Island?
