Notice yesterday and today the winds have really subsided and very still for January... It was a picture perfect day on the beach. Any other TTOL hear on island now notice how calm it is. I'm not complaining back home on East coast very very Fregid tonight.. Loving the weather!!!
We arrived Friday and can't believe how calm the winds are! It has been perfect beach weather.......not getting sandblasted as frequently happens in Jan <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />
We always stay the last 10 days or January and noticed last year that the winds were the calmest we had in at least 5 years. We are hoping for the same this year as it was very enjoyable. Beach soon come
Was there also today. Calm winds. Two periods of light rain that scared some away. Stretch of single chairs is crazy but beach in front of Club O was fine. Busy day.
Yep, guess it was calm before the storm.. Rain all night last night, this am more then sun At lunch time. Now showers this afternoon!! Some times a break from SUN is a good thing.... Shopping this afternoon.
Today, Saturday another very still weather day, saw dark skies off in the destine way out in ocean. Never rain at Kakao today. Food always great with friendly people all around. Wonderful Saturday outing....relaxing. No sure about all this calm winds.. It has been 2 years since being here this time of year.. A little aery!!!!! Will see what tomorrow brings........
Last Sunday it was very windy, but by Tuesday, Jan. 5, it was only a light breeze, sooo nice ( I got sunburned ). We flew back the next day, and security at Juliana was chaotic - we just made our flight. At least part of the problem was caused by a closed security lane - there were 4 lanes, but only 3 were staffed.
There was hardly any wind at all on Sat when we arrived and today the same. Not complaining. It is usually a lot windier and bigger waves in January. It is a gorgeous day here today!
We go every June from usually the 1st of June for three weeks. It can go either way. We've had beautiful breezy days, but also very windy ones where we had to turn the loungers around with our backs to the water to avoid being sand or salt blasted.
